THE CITY
When we were awarded European Capital of Culture 2008 it brought massive change to the city with a big new shopping centre built and postive regeneration happening in poorer housing areas of the city.
Liverpool is a fantastic city! And it's changing all the time. Liverpool people have been described as fun, chatty, friendly and full of life. I don't know many other places where people will tell you their life story at the first meeting!
Liverpool is famous for it's music, especially being the birthplace of the Beatles, it's football teams, having the biggest Cathedral in Europe, and having a Tate museum. As with many cities in Europe, Liverpool has areas which are deprived and broken, but we can also see the unique qualities God has put in the people of this city- a love for life, amazing friendliness, loyalty and beauty are just a few. We know that God has a plan to see this city transformed and we want to be part of this by loving individuals and seeing whole communities come to know His love and freedom.
Our Team
ANDY & CAROL WAIN have lived in Liverpool for 10 years and have both been in YWAM for over 15 years.
ANDY leads City Sail as well as being on the leadership of Dream, a fresh expression of church based in Liverpool.
THE TEAM
CAROL who works as a Psychotherapist is also involved in Dream and 11:57, a group that meets in a wine bar.

UDE FOOTE did her DTS in 2001 & then came back to YWAM to do an SOE in Norway in 2008. She's been involved with missions & evangelism for over 10 years. At the moment working with women who are or have been involved in prostitution, loving them and, seeking to lead them into encounters with Jesus while serving them in practical ways., also leading the School of Evangelism in January 2012 and looking forward to seeing men and women catch more of God's heart so that we become people who's lives are about loving people and letting them know about Jesus.
ANNA-ROSE & DANIELLA have started 7:57, the childrens version of 11:57 that runs film nights for their friends to talk about their faith.

YWAM LIVERPOOL-WHAT WE DO
YWAM Liverpool has a vision to see multiple teams impacting different people and parts of the city and doing new things in new ways. The team in Liverpool serve this vision in many ways. Through developing city based projects, serving local churches and ministries as a YWAMer or by working professionally, remaining linked to the wider YWAM community.
At the moment Jude's doing evangelism, particularly focussing on loving and serving women involved in prostitution and setting up the

running in January 2012.
Andy is helping run some fresh expressions of church in the city and working on reaching out to youth through sailing.

The SOE will be a place where we connect with God, know how to welcome people in, so that they can join in the journey of a relationship with God. We want to enjoy God and life and find new and creative ways to let those around us know about the very Good News we know!

YWAM Liverpool has a vision to love and serve our city and see teams reaching different people and areas, exploring new ways of how we do evangelism..
This links so well with the heart of YWAMs sailing boat Next Wave, to send out people trained and equipped to follow their calling in God, Our partnership with Next Wave creates a fantastic environment to help trainees get hold of Gods heart for people, nurture a lifestyle of evangelism and get equipped to be effective in Europe & beyond.

Next Wave's location in the heart of fun loving and open Liverpool builds a great setting for training in evangelism; wherever Next Wave has docked she always attracts a crowd and this is certainly true in Liverpools historic docks, the most popular tourist attraction of the city. We look forward to working together in seeing people equipped to see teams planted in Europe.

The Teaching
Were going to have a fun community of like-minded people who learn together. We're bringing in inspiring and experienced teachers from around Europe we are looking forward to an exciting lecture phase. Not just stuck in a classroom setting all day every day, but interactive on the job training with lots of opportunity to put into practice what youre learning.

Gods heart -*Developing a heart for people -*The Gospel -* Evangelism methods - * Doing evangelism in a European context * Pioneering -* Church planting - * Team & leadership -* Power Evangelism - and much more...
We will also have mentoring for all trainees to serve you in finding and walking in your calling.

Olympic Focus SOE
What better time to do an SOE than just before one of the worlds biggest events comes to the UK?
The Olympics means that people are coming, gathering and getting excited. God loves them all and we have the privilege of being right here to reach them with His love and goodness! After excellent teaching, and equipping we will link with Forever,YWAMs official outreach for the 2012 London Olympics, )
These teams will have the exciting opportunity to try out planting a team in this exciting Olympic year. As we are a second level school the trainees will go without staff, but the staff will be always contactable for support, advice, and to cheer you on from a distance! This outreach will lead to real opportunities for after your SOE to stay on teams or explore opportunities in other areas with YWAM Liverpool, the Next Wave, Forever or in other European cities.
This is an outreach not to be missed!
